Here is the new series that I am excited about. I read the first 3 books and they have plans for 3 more. It is a great replacement since Stephenie Meyers seems to have stopped writing all together. My new obsession the City of Bones. It is an excellent series and the author has lots of books planned. The next book I'm going to read is the prequel to the series and it looks extremely intriguing. So start reading City of Bones.. and then
Read City of Ashes and then
read City of Glass.... you will not be disappointed.... I love them.

So we are only days away before the 3rd book of Hunger Games comes out. I'm reading the first two over again with my husband. I'm on pins and needles. I'm torn on how I want it to turn out. I can't even imagine how the author will wrap up the story. I like Peeta and Gale and don't know who I want Katniss to end up with. Maybe the author is one of those that doesn't give us a happy ending and then who knows what we will get. I had been so upset when i finished book 2 the first time as we were left in the middle of the conflict not knowing what would happen next. This is a dangerous thing to do as a writer, I think. I have put a book down to never read another thing by the author again because I don't like it when they try to manipulate me to read their next book. If I'm not invested enough in the character then I don't care what happens to them . But these books I'm invested and need to know what happens to Katniss and the districts and will they over throw the Capital? So well done Suzanne Collins you've kept me wanting more. There was a time when i wanted to send her hate mail because her website didn't even say when book three was coming out. But with it only days away I'm looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.
Here's to good reads!

So here is my new addition to my family, Comet. He's a one year old white lab. I'm happy to have him as he's soften the blow of having to get rid of Kryten who will be missed. Happy Days.

In Memoriam
Lisa Martin Martel

Beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and remarkable friend. I still have Lisa in my email list and her profile had this picture. She must have picked it out as it resembles her perfectly. My blonde bubbly sister who's no longer here in person but I feel her joyous spirit with me. I know we shouldn't mourn her death but I couldn't help but think of her today. It was a year ago that she slipped from her battered body into a place with hope of life again. I think of her often wondering what's she doing now. I know when ever she can she's looking in on her beautiful daughters and grand kids. Shine on my sunshine sister.

Happy Thanksgiving!
There is so much to be thankful for. As this year 2009 comes to an end I think of the many trials that have been endured and I'm grateful to have learned more about myself. In March I lost my oldest sister very quickly.I think of her daily. We never know that last time we will have on this earth together so we must enjoy each other while we can. Love you Lisa.
Then I had some health issues that put me in the hospital, and thank goodness for a wonderful family and husband who was there everyday so I didn't go insane sitting in a hospital bed. I have to put a special thanks out to Stacy who went above and beyond a sister's duty. You know what you did.
Then we lost Jason's Grandma this year but are so grateful we had the winter with her in Arizona. A week later Jason's Dad had a heart attack and that made us step back and think, if a healthy man like him can have issues the rest of us better be on top of our game.
Back to my first thought we never know when today will be the last day for us here. Let's live it to the fullest. I've considered this year my hell year but then again it's been a year to say i'm thankful to still be here and thankful for my health and especially thankful for my loving husband, Jason, who is my best friend.
