Why I am a writer

I'm one of those people who always dreamt of being an author. I wrote stories ever since I was little. I have many notebooks lying around with ideas that I've wrote over the years. I love reading many kinds of books. My favorite book to read is Princess Bride. My husband and I read it once a year together and it is always a treat. As a teenager, I remember reading Jennie Hanson's books with my sister. We were excited the day we got to meet her at a book signing. We asked her if her male characters were based off of real men. She said, "yes", and that gave us hope. I love series and one of my favorites is by Nora Roberts, The MacGregors. I also enjoy, Terry Goodkind, Wizard's First Rules. Janet Evanovich's, Stephanie Plum's series. I enjoyed reading Janet's "How I write," which has helped me. Other favorite authors of mine are: Dan Brown, David Morell, Phillipa Gregory, Joyce DiPastena, Kerry Blair...My honorable mentions are Janette Rallison and Stephenie Meyer. My mom had me read them because they were part of her ANWA writers group. I've been hooked ever since. They really inspire me and have helped me follow my dreams. I have been writing seriously for the last couple of years and completled my first book. It is still my baby and has lots of editing to do, but i'm still proud to say, "I'm a writer." And I give thanks to all the wonderful authors out there.

Love this blog. Love your site. You are doing great! You must have had a great teacher. Okay just a little humor there. Very little, I know! You really are doing well. If you will just mess around with the site, you will learn way more. Be careful though, the first and most important thing is your writing. Don't let the blog replace your writing goals. I am guilty of this, and have placed three of the main seven I write on in hiatus.
